Help-a-Kid No-Ball 2022

To all of those who supported The 18th Annual Help-a-Kid No-Ball, thank you for helping give every child in Santa Barbara a chance to thrive.

All No-Ball proceeds go directly to helping children living at Transition House’s emergency family shelter.

Thanks to a generous donor, every gift made from September 13th through the 30th to the Help-a-Kid No-Ball was matched up to $25,000!

The children at Transition House are dressing up, so you don’t have to! The Annual Help-a-Kid No-Ball directly supports people, not parties. Instead of using your donation to throw a big party, we are selling tickets to an event you don’t have to attend.

How you can CHANGE the lives of children at Transition House

Buy a Ticket for $150.
Why buy a $150 ticket to an event that won’t take place? Because the value of your non-event ticket goes directly towards supporting our children’s programs, and raises funds to help hundreds of homeless children each year.

Become a Patron with a Ticket of $350.
Patrons are special No-Ball donors who give an extra level of support for the kids staying in our emergency homeless shelter. Many of our Patrons show their dedication year after year to ensure our shelter and programs are there for any child in our local community who may need them.

Sponsor a Child at $1,000.
It costs about $1,000 for a child to live at our shelter for three months. By sponsoring a child during their stay at Transition House, you will help them to break the cycle of homelessness and thrive as young members of our community!

Each ticket $10, or six for $50

Did you know that more than 200 children come through our shelter each year?

Over sixty percent of the shelter clients we serve are under the age of 18, therefore addressing the needs of these young people is essential. Every dollar raised from No-Ball goes to where it is needed most—to support programs for homeless children living at Transition House.

In addition to safe sleeping rooms and three meals a day, we offer licensed infant daycare, tutoring for school-aged children, basic health care, childcare while parents attend evening classes, a literacy program, teen group sessions, and summer camp experiences.

Mom’s” Infant Care Center. The children in our photos all attend one of Transition House’s most critical programs—our licensed day care center called “Mom’s”. The center serves children living in our homeless shelter and babies from the community. Your contributions help underwrite the cost of childcare for homeless families.
